VIVO MUSIQUE was founded in 2004 by Glenda Rush (Glenda Marlène Ruch) to work independently with extraordinary artists and companies, whether already established with international presence, and/or with the undiscovered gems with great talent and vision.
Vivo Musique is inspired by the wealth of internationally accessible talents within Canada, and also by international artists/projects/companies who want to share with our diverse Canadian public. In music these are artists who may not necessarily fit into a Top-40 mold, but crosses boundaries of genre, language, demographic, culture and nationality.
Glenda started her career in the music industry as a bass player, guitarist, composer, producer and actress and keeps active today. Before starting Vivo Musique, Glenda lived and worked in Toronto, Canada for just over 12 years. She held full time positions in the Canadian music industry at Universal Music Canada/Verve Music Group, as a National Jazz Publicist; at Warner Music Canada in International Marketing, and at PolyGram Records of Canada in the Sales division. During these years she also self produced a compact disc of original songs with producers Perry Alexander.
Glenda returned to her native Montreal in 2002 and started working with Montreal based Latin and Cuban musicians. She worked on a variety of public relations contracts in Canada and in the USA, mainly as a publicist and in artist management. She is a guest lecturer-teacher at Montreal’s Vanier College (CEGEP) in the Audio Recording Technology program. Glenda also worked in promotions at CJNT-TV (CH Montreal- CanWest Global), Montreal's only multicultural television station.
